These new works by Onni Nordman and Morgan Hanam, both sculptural and painted, create a dialogue of fantastic imagery born out of a long-time friendship, leading to a Hybrid Mind.
Together, they excavate the unconscious of life’s social and mental compost and repurpose it in cosmic-brain terms, generating poetry from debris and turning broken salvage into symbolic linguistic structures and paintings.
Though optimistic in color, Hybrid Mind is a dark and twisted fantasy. Enmeshed in trashed objects and traditional materials of art, these works are akin to ditch roses – deceptive, wild beauty, born of rocks and salt.
